This policy covers the YIL Download Manager browser extension ("YDM").

Summary

YDM does not collect, transmit, sell or share your personal data. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no servers. Everything happens inside your browser.

What the extension does with page data

• To list the media available on a page, the extension looks at the address, content type and size of media requests made by the tabs you have open. That list is kept in temporary browser session storage and is discarded when the tab navigates away or is closed.
• When you choose to download an item, the extension requests that file or stream directly from the website hosting it, exactly as your browser would, and saves it to your Downloads folder. The title of the page is used to name the file.
• Nothing is sent to the developer or to any third party.

What is stored

Your settings (language, video button on/off) are stored in your browser's local extension storage. Removing the extension removes them.

Permissions

The extension requests access to all sites, downloads, web requests, tabs, context menus and storage solely to provide the features described above.

Your responsibility

Only download content you have the right to download. YDM does not bypass DRM or other technical protection measures.
